Nowadays, teams can prove their membership in a core team by demonstrating access to their work email. To do this, employees must first set up their Organization Profile in Kleoverse, and then verify their access to their work email using a simple magic-link verification from their email.

Once their access to email has been verified, they can claim their Job Badges on kleoverse.com/badge/job/verification by minting the NFT Badge. These badges are Soulbound Tokens, also known as non-transferrable tokens, that highlight individual achievements. By connecting their wallet to the applications, individuals can prove their employment across the decentralized web.

How can Teams issue Job Badges on Kleoverse?

Kleoverse is a community management and recruitment platform for web3 teams. With the introduction of Job Badges, teams can verify the team membership of their core contributors.

Here's a walkthrough on how to start issuing Job Badges:

  1. Add your team to Kleoverse via the following link: http://kleoverse.com/start.
  2. Verify your organization's email address through a simple magic-link onboarding process.
  3. After the email domain has been linked to the organization profile, all team members who have their own work email with that domain can claim their own Job Badges.

How can I claim my own Job Badge on Kleoverse?

  1. Connect your wallet and create your Web3 Portfolio in Kleoverse.
  2. On the onboarding form, select the organization you currently work in.
  3. If the organization is already added to Kleoverse, you can proceed with email verification by checking which email domains they have linked to Kleoverse.
  4. Note: You must add your organization to Kleoverse in order to proceed with minting. You can do this yourself or ask your team members to create the account to continue on kleoverse.com/start.
  5. After verifying your work email, claim the job verification badge on kleoverse.com/badge/job/verification.
  6. Once claimed, you can showcase your employment on your Web3 Portfolio in Kleoverse and display a verification symbol next to your current employment field in your profile!

Policy for Suspicious Usage

We practice an "optimistic" approach to Job Badge Issuing. This means that we assume that the badge issuing will be used honestly on average, and we do not require additional proof of validity for an organization's access to domain settings, for example.

This practice has gained popularity with "Optimistic Rollups" and UMA Protocol's "Optimistic Oracles".

However, if an organization attempts to impersonate another and issue badges for people without valid proof, the Kleoverse core team can take action by pausing the account and remove these Job Badges from chain (burning the NFTs).

For example, a team with the domain ethereumfoundation.co could falsely claim to be the Ethereum Foundation and impersonate actual core team members of the organization.

What is the proof behind Job Badges?

  • Currently, verification of employment is based on the assumption that if a person has access to an organization's work email with a custom domain, they are most likely an active team member in the organization. Users' own email addresses (such as alice@kleoverse.com) are not stored on-chain, but the email domain (kleoverse.com) is.
  • Only one organization can be connected to a specific email domain, and only one user (wallet address) can generate proof per unique email address.

We use different or multiple domains for our business. What should we do?

  • We are adding a feature that allows teams with multiple active email domains to connect all their email domains under one account. For now, please contact the Kleoverse Team to issue badges for multiple different work emails.
